1. Why should I use B-Link?

B-Link gives you the chance to "test the water" of having a website and having your business online. We do this by covering ALL INITIAL COSTS & HASSLES of having a website and cut down the marketing costs.

B-Link promises to offer you a uniquely designed website. PLUS, we will provide ongoing support and advertise your business online & offline and charging you one very small fee for it - $50.00 per month.

2. How is this different from an online business directory?

Very different! We do not simply add your business into a database and dump it out. We do not use ONE template for all listings. At B-Link, we gather information and pictures of your business then spend time designing an attractive and effective website with YOUR LOGO, YOUR EXISTING BUSINESS COLOURS and YOUR STYLE.

Then you'll get a short, easy-to-remember subdomain name. When you click on this or when your customers go to this URL, your website will appear in another window - not under B-Link.

So it's not much different from having a domain name.

3. How is this different from a website design agency?

As a web designer I can tell you that it would cost at least $300 to get a decent 5-10 pages website designed. Then, it will cost you at least another $150 to get started with domain name and hosting. At B-Link we design your web pages for free. We charge you nothing tol get your website online instantly. What about marketing cost? How much will it cost you to advertise with Google AdWord? How much more will it cost you to advertise in offline Daily Newspapers? Hundreds of dollars per month right?

B-link charges only $50 a month to advertise your business website to both online and offline customers.

4. I don't like having a subdomain name.

First of all, let's find out the differences between a domain name and a subdomain name:

 

Subdomain names serve the same purpose and work just as well as domain names. Subdomain names are cheaper alternatives for small businesses. At B-Link not only they're cheaper, they're FREE!

You will be able to pick any name for your company which is more likely to be available than searching hours for a domain name out there on the World Wide Web. Furthermore, B-Link domain name is purposely kept very short and simple. As a result, we will have something as simple as:

mycompany.link.net.au
( NOTE: "www" is not part of your URL when you're using a subdomain name)

That can be easily spelt to your customer over the phone. You can put that URL on your business cards, emails footers and all other marketing materials. That URL will take your customer straight to your website, in a completely separate browser. And remember, once you are ready to get your own domain name, you can do so. Domain name registration is around $50.00 for 2 years and we can still continue to provide free hosting for you.

5. But when customers search at B-Link, my listing will appear next to my competitors.

This is true. However, it is like all methods of advertising, your business will most likely to appear around other similar businesses. For example, if you put a "Pest Control" advertisement in a local newspaper, wouldn't there be at least another 5 "Pest control" advertisements all around you? Same with submitting your website to Google, it'll return many other companies in the same business.

It is a simple business philosophies "Customer will choose you if you offer something better, cheaper or different". Or if you're close to a customer's location. Location is also another important thing. We mainly list businesses in Sydney and customers filter their search by choosing specific Sydney areas.

6. How many hits could B-Link be getting to actually benefit my business?

B-Link is relatively young. However we're advertising extensively to both online AND offline customers in a near future.

7. What methods of advertising is B-Link using?

At the moment, B-Link is advertising through Google AdWord. We pay up to $500.00 per month to be in the 1st page. This means, the chances of customers finding us then finding your business is much higher. We are looking into other methods of online marketing such as Banners Exchange, Links Exchange etc. But from our experience, Google Adword is one of the most effective form of online marketing.

In a very near future, we will utilise OFFLINE marketing which is advertising through a local newspaper and direct mail.

8. This sounds too good to be true. What is the quality of your website design?

Okay, we know what you're thinking. "Why are they doing so many things for free? They might not know anything about website design, or there could be some hidden costs"

I can assure you, there are NO HIDDEN COSTS. After your 1 month free trial, it is a fixed $50 per month if you want to continue using our service. If not, cancel any time at no charge. Cancel after your 2nd month, 4th month etc. Your web pages will be taken off B-Link hosting space, that's it.

As for the quality of our website design, you can see it for yourself by looking at our sample work. You don't need a deposit for your website, you're not even PAYING any money for the first month! Furthermore, when we show you a preview of your finished website, if you're not happy with it then we can cancel it right there or re-design it to suit you.

9. What is the catch?

We feel that this is probably the most important question. So here is the catch:

- The $50.00 monthly fee that you are paying, covers the marketing, hosting and ongoing support costs. You have not purchased the website from us therefore if you wish to cancel your membership, your website will no longer be available. However, you can arrange to buy it at any time for a one time cost.

- You can only request ONE additional page per month. Beside that we don't charge anything for minor changes. These smaller changes can not include major updates such as adding another page.
